First seminar DataFocus – the CES pilot research centre

On April 3rd, the Centre d’Economie de la Sorbonne organized its first seminar as part of the DataFocus module in collaboration with the CoDataSorb initiative (University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and University Sorbonne Nouvelle).

The objective of this seminar was to clarify the issues and concrete implications related to the processing of personal data within the research projects of CES members and to present the services offered by the CES Documentation Center (CESDoc).

This was an opportunity for our speakers, Grégoire Massé (Ph.D. student at CES) and Thomas Renault (researcher at CES), to raise several questions and issues related to the methodology of data collection and the use of personal data in their respective research projects. Fruitful exchanges with the experts present helped to enrich the reflection on how to approach these issues in compliance with RGPD.

The research support services (management and valorization of scientific production and research data management) offered by the CES Documentation Center were presented by Emilie Roux.

A big thank you to Dorian Jullien for organizing and facilitating the seminar, as well as to all our speakers, experts, and the numerous participants.

See you at the next DataFocus#2 seminar!
