CNRS RESEARCHERS COMPETITION 2023

Candidates for the 2023 CNRS Researchers Competition wishing to obtain the support of the CES are invited to send their CV and their research project to recrutement-ces@univ-paris1.fr by December 15, 2022. The CES regularly hires at the following levels:

  • Assistant professor (Maître de conférences)
  • Full professor (Professeur des universités).

These positions entail a total teaching load of 128 hours per year, which can be fulfilled by teaching at various levels, supervision duties, leading student seminars, and other tasks. Assistant and full professors are also expected to conduct research in their field of specialization, within one of the CES research programmes (Behavioural sciences, Economics of sustainable development, Financial globalization, Financial modelling, International economics and labour markets, Political economy, Public policy, Theoretical microeconomics). They have access to research funds and infrastructure of the CES. Assistant professors typically obtain tenure (civil servant status) after one year of probation. Full professors are tenured positions.

Timing: applying to both positions requires meeting certain conditions, which can be found HERE. These conditions must be met in December of the year preceding the hiring year. Positions are published HERE in February/March, selection committees convene during April/May and auditions usually take place in May.

The CES also hires through other positions:

  • The CNRS: junior researcher (chargé de recherche) or senior researcher (directeur de recherche) (see here)
